At the 2022 IPL auction, the franchise bought him again. Rayudu has scored 1,628 runs for CSK at a strike rate of 127.88. On Sunday, he scored his 46 off 31 balls in a losing cause. Two other CSK batters who have managed the feat are Suresh Raina (5529 runs) and former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (4838 runs).
