After picking a three-wicket haul on debut, India pacer Harshit Rana said he is not bothered by outside noise around him, saying that his sole intention is to just play for the country at the international level. Harshit, 23, shined on his ODI debut against England at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur, picking 3-33, as India eventually secured a four-wicket victory and grab a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. This comes just after he made his T20I debut against the same opposition in Pune, after coming as a like-for-like concussion replacement for Shivam Dube, a move which left the cricketing world fuming.
Harshit Rana came back from a tough start to his India ODI career to pick up three wickets in the first game vs England at Nagpur. Rana was hit for 11 and 26 runs respectively in his first and third overs, but then came back to pick up the wickets of Ben Duckett, Harry Brook and Liam Livingstone. Rana revealed that a chat with Indian captain Rohit Sharma, and a small tweak after that, made all the difference on his ODI debut. In his third over, Harshit was slammed for 26 runs by England opener and his former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) teammate Phil Salt.

Talented pacer Harshit Rana, who has played two Tests, quite surprisingly made a surprise entry into the India playing XI in the fourth T20I against England in Pune on Friday. Though initially not named in the XI, Rana was called upon to replace allrounder Shivam Dube as a 'like-for-like' concussion substitute after the latter was struck on the helmet in the final over of India's innings. Former batter Ambati Rayudu has criticised all-rounder Hardik Pandya for not backing youngster Dhruv Jurel during India's loss to England in the third T20I on Tuesday. For the unversed, Hardik refused to take a single on final ball of the 18th over after Jurel hit Jofra Archer's delivery to deep square leg. While Rayudu praised Hardik for his fighting knock, he felt the veteran all-rounder could've show more faith in Jurel. Hardik top-scored for with a 35-ball 40, but couldn't prevent India from suffering a 26-run loss in Rajkot.
