Vinicius Junior rejected an approach from Paris Saint-Germain that would have quadrupled his wages, instead agreeing terms on a new Real Madrid contract.
Paris Saint-Germain denied reports on Monday that Nice coach Christophe Galtier will be named the Parisian club's new coach. Newspaper L'Equipe and radio station FranceInfo claimed the Frenchman had agreed to replace Mauricio Pochettino at Parc de Princes. A source close to the club told AFP later that "numerous discussions are underway", despite the reports.

Kylian Mbappe has said that racism made him want to leave the national team following France's Euro 2020 knockout. Noel La Graet, president of the French Football Federation (FFF), claimed that Mbappe wanted to leave the side after the FFF failed to defend him from criticism after the forward missed the crucial penalty that saw Les Bleus knocked out of Euro 2020, as well as the frustration of elimination.
France international Kylian Mbappe on Sunday accused the president of the French Football Federation (FFF) of ignoring racist abuse after his penalty miss at Euro 2020. The Paris Saint-Germain star's decisive spot-kick against Switzerland was saved in the last-16 shootout, resulting in the world champions exiting the tournament. The 23-year-old was vilified on social media by furious fans, and even considered quitting the national team as a result. In an interview with a Sunday newspaper, FFF president Noel Le Graet spoke of the lack of support Mbappe had felt after the Euro elimination.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has claimed Kylian Mbappe decided to stay at Paris Saint-Germain because he was "confused" after being put under intense "political and economic pressure". But when asked about the possibility of Mbappe joining Real Madrid in the future, Perez kept the door open to the 23-year-old. "This Mbappe is not my Mbappe," Perez said. "But if he changes, who knows? Life takes a thousand turns."
