Delhi Capitals (DC) made exciting additions to their squad at the IPL Auction 2024 in Dubai on Tuesday. The franchise bagged the hard-hitting Harry Brook for INR 4 crore along with Australian fast bowler Jhye Richardson for INR 5 crore and West Indian wicketkeeper-batter Shai Hope for INR 75 lakh. The Delhi Capitals also picked up uncapped Indian wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Kushagra for INR 7.2 crore. "We filled all the gaps that we wanted to and I thought that we did a great job at the Auction table. I am excited about working with Harry Brook. He's one of the most talented international cricketers at the moment. He was our number one priority in this year's Auction and we managed to acquire him at a great figure," head coach Ricky Ponting said when asked about the Delhi Capitals squad for IPL 2024, as quoted in a release from DC.

India brutally thrashed South Africa by 106 runs in the third and final T20I on Thursday as the three-match series ended in a draw. After the first match got washed out due to the rain in Durban, South Africa won the second T20I by five wickets (DLS method) and gained 1-0 lead. However, the visitors bounced back in style and registered a thumping win. India posted 201/7 with skipper Suryakumar Yadav smashing a record-breaking century. Later, Kuldeep Yadav took a five-wicket haul as India bundled out the Proteas for 95.

With this win, India ended the three-match T20I series with 1-1 draw. Asked to bat first, the visitors posted a whopping total of 201/7 in 20 overs with skipper Suryakumar Yadav smashing 100 off 56 balls. Later, South Africa were bundled out for 95 after Kuldeep scalped five wickets. Co-incidentally, there was another reason for Kuldeep to celebrate as it was his 29th birthday.

But, when the replay was shown on the big screen, it was found out that Gill would've survived the LBW call, leaving the Indian camp, including head coach Rahul Dravid frustrated.
