In the surfaced clip, Goswami can be seen bowling a fuller length delivery on the stumps to Rahul and following it with a short ball outside off stump. The right-handed batter played both the deliveries with perfection as he hit a cover drive on the first ball, while he cut the second ball from the back foot on the off side.

Indian cricket team followers were in for a shock when KL Rahul, who was supposed to lead India in the T20I series against South Africa, was ruled out of the five-match contest due to an injury earlier this month. The news came on the eve of the first match in Delhi and Rishabh Pant was named as Rahul's replacement in the skipper's post. Rahul has over the years had recurrent lower abdominal related fitness issues, including groin strains and hamstring injuries. He recently underwent surgery in Germany and then shared the news on social media.

Senior India opener KL Rahul has undergone a successful surgery for sports hernia in Germany and is expected to be out of competitive cricket for another couple of months. Rahul, who was forced to opt out of the home T20I series against South Africa earlier this month, has over the years had recurrent lower abdominal related fitness issues, including groin strains and hamstring injuries. "It's been a tough couple of weeks but the surgery was successful. I'm healing and recovering well. My road to recovery has begun. Thank you for your messages and prayers. See you soon," Rahul tweeted.

Madhya Pradesh were touted as the underdogs heading into the Ranji Trophy final against 41-time champions Mumbai but the Aditya Shrivastava-led side have truly shown that they belong at this level and they have managed to create pressure on the Prithvi Shaw-captained side.
