The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Monday formed a task force to conduct a feasibility study of allowing Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) to play in the country's national teams. Indian football's "rapid strides in recent past" and an upsurge in public interest in the sport presented a "compelling case" for the inclusion of the men's and women's teams for the upcoming Asian Games, national federation president Kalyan Chaubey said. 'Special Thanks To PM Narendra Modi': India Football Coach Igor Stimac After Team's Clearance For Asian Games

The football fraternity of India was on cloud nine on Wednesday after the sports ministry gave a clearance to both men's and women's team to participate in the upcoming Asian Games. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) then made an appeal to the Sports Ministry to allow the men's and women's sides to take part in the prestigious event.
