CHARLOTTE, North Carolina :Sunny skies and soggy conditions greeted the early starters as the PGA Championship got underway on Thursday at Quail Hollow Club where the high-profile group of Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele were about to begin.
