Mohammed Shami bowled a brilliant spell on Friday as he helped India bundle out Australia for 188 runs in the first ODI of the three-match series. India's stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first. Mohammed Siraj dismissed Travis Head to provide the hosts the first breakthrough. Steve Smith and Mitchell Marsh then joined hands and added 72 runs for the second wicket. Smith was dismissed by Hardik Pandya before Ravindra Jadeja got the better of Marsh. Kuldeep Yadav then dismissed Marnus Labuschagne as Australia went four down.

Mohammed Shami was on top of his game as India bowled out Australia for 188 runs in the first ODI match at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Friday. He claimed a total of three wickets during his six over spell and two of those came through cleaning up the batters. Josh Inglis' stumps were rattled by Shami for the pacer's first wicket, before he got better of Cameron Green with a peach of a delivery. A good length ball pitched around the off stump swung away from Green and sent his off stump cartwheeling.

The 'Naatu Naatu' fever is showing no signs of slowing down, catching even Indian cricket star Virat Kohli. During the first ODI against Australia on Friday, Kohli was spotted doing the hook step of the song 'Naatu Naatu'. Since the RRR's success at the Oscars, the song's popularity has shot through the roof. Despite being involved in a cricketing contest, even Kohli had 'Naatu Naatu' song playing in his head while he was fielding in the slips. The video of his dance is going viral on social media.

A few days later, Cummins' mother sadly passed away. In the pacer's absence, Steve Smith led the Australian team in the 3rd and 4th Test against Australia. Speaking of the development, Australia head coach Andrew McDonald confirmed that Smith will continue to lead Australia on the India tour.
