Motherwell defender Bevis Mugabi was sent off inside the first minute as Hibernian won 2-1 at Fir Park to reach the Scottish Cup semi-finals.
The Belgian centre-back was given his marching orders after an off-the-ball incident with Dark Blues midfielder Paul McGowan shortly before the hour mark in the goalless draw between the two teams at Dens Park on Wednesday night and although there was a suggestion Bushiri felt the sending-off was harsh, Hibs chose not to appeal the decision, meaning he misses the Scottish Premiership home game against St Johnstone and Scottish Cup quarter-final trip to Motherwell.
Rocky Bushiri was dismissed after 58 minutes following an off-the-ball incident with Dark Blues midfielder Paul McGowan, leaving Hibs to play the final half-hour of the game with ten men.
Although the game was badly in need of an injection of life being reduced to ten men just before the hour mark was not the flash point desired by Hibs.
Dundee and Hibernian had to settle for a point each after a hard-fought 0-0 draw in the cinch Premiership.
He is only in his second term as a first team player but even Hibs defender Josh Doig recognises that things are unusually tight in the top flight this season, offering the Leith side precious little breathing space.
