After an eight-year gap, Josh Brookes made a successful return to the North West 200 with third and fourth place finishes on the MCE Ducati in the Superbike races, positions which he felt were more than positive given the lengthy absence.
Glenn Irwin took his sixth consecutive Superbike race win at the North West 200 on Saturday afternoon with the Honda Racing rider bagging a comfortable victory over Richard Cooper (Hawk Racing Suzuki) and Josh Brookes (MCE Ducati).

Glenn Irwin’s phenomenal run of Superbike success at the North West 200 continued on Saturday afternoon as he took his fifth straight win. The Honda Racing rider was made to work all the way though by Davey Todd (Milenco by Padgetts Honda) with the gap between the two just 0.253s at the chequered flag.

However, the sun was shining and the track quickly improved and, after the Supersport bikes had completed their first session, it was Josh Brookes who claimed provisional pole for the Superbike class on the MCE Ducati.
