Sophie Ecclestone Back In England Women's Cricket Team Squad For India Tour

Star England spinner Sophie Ecclestone on Friday made a comeback to the side for the tour of India next month after undergoing a shoulder surgery. Ecclestone had dislocated her right shoulder during the Women's Hundred in August and went under the knife in September. England play three T20Is and a one-off Test against India starting December 6. Amol Muzumdar Set To Become Indian Women's Cricket Team Head Coach

The CAC comprising Ashok Malhotra, Jatin Paranjpe and Sulakshana Naik found Muzumdar's 90-minute presentation most impressive. The others who were interviewed were former Durham coach Jon Lewis and Tushar Arothe, who had already served as India head coach before resigning in 2018. The development comes days before the commencement of India's tour of Bangladesh. India were without a head coach since December last year when Ramesh Powar was sacked.

Len Hutton is reported to have once said that women’s cricket was “absurd, like a man trying to knit”.
