After his four-hit barrage in the first seven innings, Ohtani drew five consecutive walks in this epic extra-inning World Series game, making him the first major leaguer in 83 years to reach base nine times in any game, let alone the postseason. He followed with a solo homer to right in the third inning off Toronto starter Max Scherzer and added an RBI double in the fifth off reliever Mason Fluharty during a tying rally for Los Angeles.
