Eurosport expert Jimmy White has sent a warning to Ronnie O’Sullivan over potentially losing his focus over an issue with his cue at the World Championship. O’Sullivan claimed his cue has been “unplayable” at times at the Crucible and again brought it into focus during his quarter-final with Stephen Maguire – but also insisted he has “played with worse and won”. Judd Trump and John Higgins moved into the ascendancy in their World Championship quarter-final ties, with 5-3 leads over Stuart Bingham and Jack Lisowski respectively. Bingham kicked off the afternoon session by winning the first frame 101-38 with two breaks of 50 and 51 in an impressive start to the match. The World Snooker Championship 2022 continues today after the action kicked off on Saturday April 16 at the iconic Crucible Theatre in Sheffield with Leicester's top seed and defending champion Mark Selby seeking a fifth title. But Selby is out after losing to Yan Bingtao on Sunday night.
Jack Lisowski says his World Championship bid is being inspired by events in Ukraine even though he has been blocked from wearing the country’s flag on his waistcoat. Lisowski’s grandfather is from Ukraine, which has been invaded by Russia for the last two months.
