Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid will warm up with the intention of playing in Friday's Game 3 against the Miami Heat, reports Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
CAMDEN, N.J. — The Philadelphia 76ers announced Friday morning that superstar center Joel Embiid has cleared the NBA's concussion protocol and participated in the team's morning shootaround ahead of Game 3 of Philadelphia's Eastern Conference semifinal against the Miami Heat Friday night, moving him a couple of steps closer to returning to the court.
Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid has reportedly cleared concussion protocol and is "doing everything possible" to play in Friday's Game 3 against the Miami Heat, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
There were few positives for the 76ers to take away from the first two games against Miami: they lost by 14 and 16 points, the first time the 76ers lost back-to-back playoff games by at least 14 points since 2008; the 76ers have shot 14-of-64 from 3 (21.9%); James Harden is shooting 39.4% and not looking like the elite superstar the Sixers need him to be; and Philadelphia is in an 0-2 hole to No. 1 seed Miami.
Harden is going to be 33 next season, and with hamstring injuries compromising him over the past couple of seasons, it's safe to say that his days as an elite scorer are over.
PHILADELPHIA — 76ers superstar center Joel Embiid is currently being listed as out for Game 3 of Philadelphia's Eastern Conference semifinal against the MiamI Heat, but there is still progress that could be made to change his availability in time to play Friday, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Paul scored 14 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter as Western Conference top seeds Phoenix broke open a close game, withstanding a 35-point performance from Mavericks star Luka Doncic.
