Baaeed underlined his status as the best thoroughbred on earth after stretching his unbeaten record to 10 when landing the Juddmonte International Stakes on the opening day of York’s Ebor Festival.
Baaeed was a superb winner of the Juddmonte International Stakes for Jim Crowley and William Haggas.

Shadwell star Baaeed stretched his unbeaten run to nine races with a comfortable victory over Godolphin’s Modern Games in the Group 1 Sussex Stakes at the Goodwood Festival on Wednesday.
“It’s probably like doing the Tour de France on a motorbike,” William Haggas said here on Wednesday, having watched Jim Crowley steer the exceptional Baaeed to the ninth win of his 14-month career in the Group One Sussex Stakes. “It must be a wonderful feeling for Jim in a race of that nature, you pull him out and he goes there on the bridle.”
Baaeed stretched his perfect record to nine wins from nine starts as he cruised to a convincing victory in the Group One Qatar Sussex Stakes at Goodwood.
On 31 August 2009, Tony Culhane rode a horse called Mazzola in a five-furlong handicap at Newcastle. About 10 seconds after the start, he shifted his mount left towards the rail, bumping a horse on his inside which in turn interfered with another against the rail, which fell.
