SEATTLE -- — Sue Bird became the WNBA's leader in career wins with 324 on Wednesday night as the Seattle Storm beat the Las Vegas Aces 88-78.
The defending champion Chicago Sky will be well-represented at the WNBA All-Star Game in the Windy City, as three Sky players are among 12 reserves announced by the league Tuesday. Guard/forward Kahleah Copper, forward Emma Meesseman and guard Courtney Vandersloot join Sky forward/center Candace Parker, who was voted in as one of 10 starters last week, for the July 10 game at Chicago's Wintrust Arena (ABC, 1 p.m. ET).
The WNBA season has given fans plenty to talk about so far. The Commissioner's Cup Championship Game between the Las Vegas Aces and Chicago Sky is set to take place on July 26. Both squads are among the league's elite teams with the Aces sitting at No. 1 in the standings with a considerable cushion. The rest of the rankings show a bundle of teams fighting for seeding in the middle of the pack while others toward the bottom hope to turn their seasons around before it's too late.
