"Don't Want To Look...": Rohit Sharma's Blunt Take On India's 2nd ODI Loss To Sri Lanka

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma termed the 32-run defeat against Sri Lanka in the second ODI as hurting, and said there will be discussions about the way batters played in the middle-overs on Sunday. India were jolted by leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay's six-wicket haul, and were bowled out for 208 while chasing 241, once again exposing their fragility against spin. "When you lose a game, everything hurts. It's not just about those 10 overs (when India lost six wickets for 50 runs). You have to play consistent cricket and we failed to do that. Little disappointed but these things happen," said Rohit in the post-match presentation ceremony. "We weren't good enough. Don't want to look too much into how we played. But there'll be talks about our batting in the middle overs," he added.

Jeffrey Vandersay's 6/33 Wrecks India As Sri Lanka Carve 32-Run Win In 2nd ODI

Leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay's magical six-wicket haul robbed the roar from Rohit Sharma's brutal fifty as Sri Lanka etched an emotional 32-run win over India in the second ODI in Colombo on Sunday. Sri Lanka now lead the three-match series 1-0 after the first match ended in a tie. Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga Ruled Out Of Remaining ODIs Against India

All-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has been ruled out of the ongoing three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka due to a hamstring injury. With the first ODI ending in a thrilling tie, India and Sri Lanka will face off in the second ODI here at the R Premadasa Stadium on Sunday. Hasaranga was seen holding his hamstring during the final delivery of his spell. Jeffrey Vandersay has been named the replacement for the all-rounder whose exit depletes the Sri Lankan bowling attack since they have already lost the services of Matheesha Pathirana, Dilshan Madushanka, Dushmantha Chameera and Nuwan Thushara.

Janith Liyanage 95 Gives Sri Lanka Hard Fought Win Over Zimbabwe

A back to the wall 95 by middle order batsman Janith Liyanage helped Sri Lanka beat Zimbabwe by two wickets in the second ODI of the three-match series in Colombo on Monday. Chasing 209 to win, Sri Lanka struggled as left-arm seamer Richard Ngarava troubled the batsmen with extra bounce. Ngarava claimed the first four Sri Lankan wickets, and picked up a fifth when he dismissed Maheesh Theekshana in his final over. Sri Lanka were  112, but a 56-run stand for the seventh wicket between Theekshana and Liyanage started the fight back. Ngarava finished with five for 32, his career best figures and Sri Lanka started to breath easier when he completed his 10 overs.
