Martin Vaculik won his second Speedway Grand Prix of 2022 with victory at the season-finale in Torun. Vaculik was on top form all night, winning his opening three heats before dominating the final by beating Bartosz Zmarzlik, Maciej Janowski and Leon Madsen. Ad The Slovakian chose Gate 2 for the final and got the perfect start by beating Zmarzlik to Turn 1.

Bartosz Zmarzlik was the one constant in an unpredictable Teterow Grand Prix and took an inevitable victory after heartbreak for Dan Bewley. Bewley qualified for the semi-finals in second place behind Zmarzlik, but his bike packed up as he lined up for that semi-final from a dominant inside gate, and he was unable to compete. Ad However, Zmarzlik was always the man to beat and once he hit the front in the final the result was never in doubt.
Freddie Lindgren emerged victorious from a hugely controversial Grand Prix of Poland final in Warsaw, though Bartosz Zmarzlik retains the lead of the world championship. Jack Holder had been on course for his maiden GP victory in the first running of the final, but that was stopped when Zmarzlik knocked Jason Doyle off his bike on lap three in a clumsy move up the inside.
The 2023 FIM Speedway Grand Prix line-up has been finalised with 14 of this year’s stars returning and a reserve revolution as substitute stars from seven different nations are nominated. Great Britain’s triple world champion Tai Woffinden and 2017 Speedway GP world champion Jason Doyle return for 2023 after being selected by the SGP Commission.
The Belle Vue Aces produced a fine night of speedway at Foxhall Stadium to take a significant advantage into the Premiership Play-Off semi-final second leg against the Ipswich Witches. The Aces have not secured league silverware since 1993 but look well placed to progress after a strong performance in Suffolk, taking the first leg 52-38. Bartosz Zmarzlik was relieved to recover from a slow start to the Speedway Grand Prix Denmark to claim victory in Vojens. After finishing fourth fastest in qualifying, Zmarzlik managed a second-place in his first heat and drew a blank in his second.
