Brentford inflicted a damaging 4-0 defeat on struggling Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
LEICESTER, United Kingdom: Leicester’s bid to avoid relegation from the Premier League hit a historic low as Brentford cruised to a 4-0 win at the King Power Stadium on Friday. Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side would have moved out of the relegation zone with a victory, but instead they remain two points from safety. Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo and Christian Norgaard all scored for Brentford in a wretched first half for second-bottom Leicester. Fabio Carvalho netted in the closing stages and the Foxes were booed off after a 10th defeat in their last 11 league games that added to the pressure on the under-fire Van Nistelrooy. Underlining the depth of their struggles, Leicester made unwanted history as the first team in the Premier League era to lose six successive home games without scoring in any of them. With just 12 games left to avoid a relegation, Leicester are in severe danger of an immediate return to the Championship. Enzo Maresca quit to take charge of Chelsea after masterminding Leicester’s promotion last season and the club’s Thai owners have failed to find an adequate replacement for the Italian. Steve Cooper was sacked after just five months in charge and former Manchester United striker Van Nistelrooy has fared no better. Leicester have won just four of their 26 league games this season, with Van Nistelrooy contributing only two of those victories in 15 matches. Van Nistelrooy was waiting to officially take charge of Leicester when they were thrashed at Brentford while he watched from the stands in November. If he could be forgiven for the result on that occasion, there were no excuses for the Dutchman this time. Jamie Vardy needs two goals to reach 200 in all competitions for Leicester and the veteran striker
Manchester United vs Leicester Live Streaming FA Cup Fourth Round: Defending champions Manchester United kick-off fourth round of FA Cup ties at home against Leicester City on Sunday (IST). This will be the third meeting between the two sides, with United already beating the Foxes 5-2 (League Cup) and 3-0 (Premier League), both times at Old Trafford. Former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, who is now in charge of Leicester, has been in the dugout for both their losses. A star striker for United in his playing days, Van Nistelrooy was appointed as Ten Hag's assistant coach last July, taking interim charge when his fellow Dutchman was sacked in October.
Tottenham Hotspur kembali menelan kekalahan di Premier League, kali ini di tangan Leicester City. Rekor memalukan 113 tahun lalu pun terulang lagi.
Ange Postecoglou’s position as Tottenham manager is under increasing scrutiny after his side slumped to a 2-1 defeat at home to struggling Leicester.
Tottenham Hotspur makin dekat dengan zona merah usai dikalahkan Leicester City. Kapten Lilywhites Son Heung-min sedih melihat kondisi tim.
Leicester pushed Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou closer to the exit door with a 2-1 win that extended Spurs' dismal run, while Manchester United's 1-0 victory at Fulham eased the pressure on Ruben Amorim. Tottenham blew the lead on home turf as they crumbled to a sixth defeat in their last seven league games. With only one win in their last 11 top-flight matches, Postecoglou's side are languishing in 15th place, just eight points above the bottom three. It was another woeful result for the beleaguered Australian, who has faced mounting calls for his dismissal throughout a turbulent second season in charge.
Son Heung-min slammed Tottenham’s lack of focus after Sunday’s “painful” 2-1 defeat against lowly Leicester increased the pressure on under-fire boss Ange Postecoglou.
