Jimmy Neesham Declines New Zealand Central Contract Due To "Pre-Arranged Agreements With Domestic Leagues"
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Friday confirmed that all-rounder Jimmy Neesham has declined a central contract on the "basis of pre-arranged agreements he had already struck with overseas domestic leagues." However, the body confirmed that Neesham will still be considered for BLACKCAPS selection when available. The all-rounder also took to Instagram to give his clarification saying, this was a "difficult decision", but it was not feasible for him to go back on his word.

Australia star batter Steve Smith scored his first ODI century in nearly two years, helping Australia post a total of 267 for five in 50 overs against New Zealand in the third and final ODI at the Cazaly Cricket Stadium in Cairns. Smith registered his 12th ODI ton, crafting a brilliant 105 off 131 balls. The former Australia captain's game awareness was also on display. In the 38th over, Smith hit Jimmy Neesham for a six over the square leg boundary.
