On the second day, Kishan boasted of his batting skills. The southpaw slammed his century in 86 balls. He got there with two consecutive sixes.

Eyeing a return to the India setup, Ishan Kishan began his return to red ball cricket in great fashion. The BCCI men's selection committee on Wednesday announced the squads for the first round of the 2024-25 Duleep Trophy. The tournament is set to begin from September 5, 2024, in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh and M Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru.

Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, before the Bangladesh series. The Duleep Trophy may also provide a path for outcasts like Ishan Kishan to find their way back into Team India's setup.

Star wickekeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, who was stripped off the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI's) central contracts for 2023-24 for missing domestic cricket, is all set to make a comeback for Jharkhand, stated a report. It added that the southpaw has been included in the 25 pre-season probables announced by Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) and that he took the decision after consluting "some well-wishers and national selectors". Kishan was a part of the Indian squad for the South Africa Test series squad last year but pulled out due to 'personal reasons'. He last played for India in November 2023.
