England women's team captain Heather Knight produced a spectacular effort in the field to dismiss Lea Tahuhu of New Zealand in a Women's World Cup match at Eden Park in Auckland on Sunday. With a lot on the line for both teams, a win for either will go a long way in their bid to finish in the top four. Knight set the bar for her teammates to follow by literally flying to her right and plucking the ball out of thin air. The video of Heather Knight's incredible catch was shared on ICC and Cricket World Cup's official Instagram handles.

England defeated India by four wickets in the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup and this helped the Heather Knight-led side register their first win of the tournament. However, an incident in the 5th over of England innings featuring Jhulan Goswami and Nat Sciver got the cricket fans talking. After registering a four-wicket win against India Women, the England women's cricket team finally opened their account in their fourth match of the competition played at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. Suffering through a winless streak in the ongoing Women's World Cup, the Heather Knight-led side began well and troubled the Indian batters from the word go. Excellent lines and lengths and wickets at crucial internals of the game helped England bundle out India for 134 runs in 36.2 overs. In reply, England also endured a poor start as openers Tammy Beaumont and Danielle Wyatt departed for 1 run each. However, a gutsy fifty from Knight and cameos from the middle-order players helped England overhaul the target in 31.2 overs with four wickets remaining.
Anya Shrubsole acknowledged England just had to get “over the line” after the defending champions kept their slim Women’s World Cup semi-final hopes alive with a four-wicket triumph over India at Mount Maunganui.
England spinner Charlie Dean expressed happiness after her fiery bowling took her side to a victory against India in the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup 2022 at Bay Oval on Wednesday. It was a clinical performance by the defending champions as they bowled out India inside 37 overs and defeated them by four wickets. Charlie Dean (4/23) ripped through the India top-order and Anya Shrubsole (2/20) put the polish on impressive team performance.
