Cheteshwar Pujara's red-hot form for Sussex earned him a place in the India squad on Sunday for the one-off Test against England in July. India were 2-1 ahead when the final Test at Old Trafford in September was cancelled following Covid-19 cases in their camp. Edgbaston will host the match from July 1. Pujara, dropped after India's tour of South Africa this year, was picked in the 17-member squad after his four 100-plus scores, including two double hundreds, in five county championship division two matches.

Superb bowling efforts from Harshal Patel (3/35) and Glenn Maxwell (2/22) guided Royal Challengers Bangalore to a 13-run win over Chennai Super Kings here at MCA stadium in Pune. Harshal Patel returned to his best form as he scalped 3 wickets for 35 runs and helped Royal Challengers Bangalore get their first win in 4 games.
Harshal Patel had a breakout IPL season in the year 2021, which saw him finish as the league top wicket taker as he took home the IPL Purple Cap with 32 wickets. He was bought back by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 10.75 crore in the IPL mega auction ahead of IPL 2022. Patel's great performance in IPL 2021 also saw him make his India debut in T20Is. But life wasn't all rose for the medium pacer from Gujarat.
Harshal Patel has been playing in IPL for close to a decade now but he became a household name last season as he finished IPL 2021 with 32 wickets while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore and also won the Purple Cap. Harshal has since made his Team India debut in T20 internationals and looks to be in the race to get a berth in the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup later this year.
