Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on July 26 to honour the soldiers who were killed in the line of duty during the Kargil War. The day marks the victory of Indian soldiers in recapturing the mountain heights that were occupied by the Pakistani Army on July 26, 1999, known as the Kargil War. Several members of the Indian cricket fraternity paid their tributes to the Indian soldiers on Tuesday.
The organisers of Legends League Cricket on Saturday confirmed that the second edition of the tournament will be played in India instead of Oman. Keeing in mind the huge fan base in India for the legends of the game and the first season's response received from India, LLC decided to shift the base to India for the upcoming season in September 2022. The first season saw a humongous following from India, for the legends playing from across the globe. During season two, the Legends League Cricket will add more excitement with more than 110 legends from the sport.

In a latest, former Australia pacer Mitchell Johnson and recently retired wicketkeeper-batter Parthiv Patel have confirmed to be part of the season 2 of the tournament. Besides them 3 more Indian players -- Pragyan Ojha, Reetinder Sodhi and Ashok Dinda have also confirmed to be part of the upcoming player draft process of league.
