LONDON : When the name of the 2022 men's singles champion is etched on to the Wimbledon honours board in 12 days time some might argue an asterisk should be inserted alongside it.

Cameron Norrie was left rueing fine margins with after a first-round defeat to Grigor Dimitrov in the LTA's cinch Championships at The Queen's Club. Norrie, last year's finalist, was given a tough opener against The Queen's Club champion from 2014 who prevailed 6-7 (2) 6-1 6-4 in an entertaining match on Centre Court. British No 1 Cameron Norrie fell at the first hurdle in the cinch Championships as he lost in three sets to Grigor Dimitrov at Queen's Club.
Grigor Dimitrov beat last year's runner-up Cameron Norrie in the first round of the cinch Championships at Queen's with a 6-7(2) 6-1 6-4 victory over the British No. 1. It is the first time Dimitrov has defeated Norrie in their third meeting on tour as both players ramp up their preparations for Wimbledon, which starts on June 27.
