"Virat Kohli And Ajinkya Rahane Needed To...": Glenn McGrath On India's WTC Final Defeat

"Sometimes it can happen", was what fast bowling legend Glenn McGrath said on Monday about India's capitulation in the World Test Championship final against Australia in London. India suffered a crushing 209-run defeat to Australia on the fifth day of the summit clash at the Oval on Sunday. "Sometimes, it can happen like that. Yeah, conditions in England are a lot different to what Indian cricket has been playing in. Josh Hazlewood Declared 'Fit And Available' Ahead Of WTC Final Against India

Cricket Australia on Monday declared the country's seasoned speedster Josh Hazlewood "fit and available" for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final against India and the Ashes series against old rivals England. The WTC final is scheduled to be held at the Oval in London from June 7-11, which will be followed by the five-match Ashes from June 16 to July 31. The 32-year-old Hazlewood returned to Australia after reporting "minor side soreness" after his recent Indian Premier League outing for Royal Challengers Bangalore two weeks ago, raising concerns about his participation in the forthcoming international assignments.

Nathan Lyon Creates History, Breaks 41-Year-Old Record Against India In 4th Test

While the Indian batsmen looking quite comfortable against the Australia bowlers, veteran spinner Nathan Lyon was able to claim a massive milestone. With the dismissal of KS Bharat, Lyon became the highest overseas wicket-taker in Test matches on Indian soil. He currently has 55 wickets from 11 matches in India and he surpassed the record held by former England spinner Derek Underwood. Underwood had 54 wickets against India in away matches from 16 games with best figures of 5 for 84.
