TURIN, Italy :Three late goals earned Villarreal a stunning 3-0 second-leg victory at Juventus on Wednesday to condemn the Serie A side to a 4-1 aggregate loss and a Champions League last-16 exit for the third successive season.
Villarreal stunned Juventus with a 3-0 win to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2009.
Villarreal took everything Juventus had to throw at them before scoring three late goals to dump the Turin giants out of the UEFA Champions League round of 16. Geronimo Rulli made two good stops from Dusan Vlahovic, who also hit the bar in the first half, but Juventus' threat ebbed away as the game went on.
Dusan Vlahovic scored the second-fastest goal ever for a Champions League debutant as his Juventus side were held to a 1-1 draw at Villarreal in a last-16 first-leg tie on Tuesday.
