Asia Lions registered a magnificent 85-run victory over India Maharajas in the Eliminator match of the Legends League Cricket match on Saturday. Opting to bat first, the Shahid Afridi-led side posted a total of 191/5 in 20 overs after Upul Tharanga smashed 50 off 31 balls and Mohammad Hafeez scored 38 off 24 balls. Later, Sohail Tanvir, Abdur Razzak, and Hafeez scalped two wickets each as the Maharajas were bundled out for 106. Apart from leading his side to the final of the tournament, Afridi also won millions of hearts with his loving gesture towards a fan.

During the press conference after a match of India Maharajas, a reporter asked Raina -"Everyone wants you back in the IPL after your performance tonight in Legends League Cricket." Raina was amused by the question, and he denied any chance of a comeback while referencing Shahid Afridi. "Main Suresh Raina hoon. Main Shahid Afridi nahi hoon. Retirement le chuka hoon (I'm Suresh Raina, not Shahid Afridi. I've taken retirement)," he said.

Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan left everyone in splits recently by recreating Yuzvendra Chahal's unique pose by casually lying on the ground after taking a catch during the ongoing LLC Masters in Doha. With Indian Maharajas looking dominant against Asia Lions, Sri Lanka's Tillakaratne Dilshan ended up miscuing a shot off the bowling of Stuart Binni. Pathan, who was positioned at short third man, completed the catch quite easily and decided to replicate the pose from Chahal which has gone viral on social media for its use in memes.

India Maharajas put in a brilliant performance against Asia Lions, with skipper Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa's orchestrating unbeaten 159-run opening partnership to record an emphatic 10-wicket victory, in the fourth match of the LLC Masters at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium in Doha. Uthappa was the Player of the Match for the Asia Lions side, scoring an unbeaten 88 off just 39 balls, with the help of 11 fours and 5 sixes. Three of those sixes came in a single over against Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Hafeez.
