Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship continues this weekend for the 2022 Shell Recharge Berlin E-Prix with a double-header at the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit. As the all-electric series approaches the halfway stage of the season, the fight for the championship crown is hotting up with Mercedes-EQ's Stoffel Vandoorne looking to protect the top spot he snatched off DS TECHEETAH’s Jean-Eric Vergne during his home race in Monaco last time out.

LONDON: It was double glory for Jaguar TCS Racing’s Mitch Evans as he stormed to victory in the second Formula E Rome E-Prix of the weekend, matching his win in Saturday’s race.
Evans was due to take his attack mode - a solitary allotted activation of eight minutes in the second Rome race - on the 18th lap, but the stranded Mahindra of Alexander Sims prompted the emergence of the race's second safety car, which stopped Evans from being able to arm it.
Mortara scythed past eventual winner Pascal Wehrlein on lap eight with a tremendous run out of the Peraltada corner and diving past into Turn 1.
Wehrlein had a difficult road to convert his pole position into victory, as Porsche elected to start saving energy early on in the race, losing the lead to championship leader Edoardo Mortara as the Venturi driver grabbed an excellent drive out of the Peraltada to clear the German at Turn 1.
