Tottenham Hotspur continue their Champions League campaign on Tuesday when they take on Sporting in Portugal.
Tottenham have the chance to take early control of their Champions League group when they travel to Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday. Spurs beat Marseille 2-0 in their opening Group D fixture while Sporting impressed in a 3-0 win at last season's Europa League champions Eintracht Frankfurt. Ad The fixture was displayed as postponed on Tottenham's website over the weekend but the club have confirmed it is going ahead as planned.

Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann said Saturday his team lacked their usual energy after they were held to a draw for the second week in a row at Union Berlin and knocked off top spot in the Bundesliga. Union battled to a well-earned 1-1 draw at home to Bayern, allowing fellow high-fliers Freiburg to leapfrog their way into first after they beat Bayer Leverkusen in a five-goal thriller. "In the end it was a fair result. The energy which I've praised so often in the last few weeks wasn't really there today," said Nagelsmann, adding that his side would need to perk up in their Champions League opener against Inter next Wednesday.
Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp confirmed that he has turned down an offer to join Manchester United and in turn, rejected the chance to compete with David de Gea for the number one spot.
Bayern Munich were placed in the same section as Robert Lewandowski's Barcelona in Thursday's draw for the UEFA Champions League group stage in Istanbul, while Erling Haaland will face his former club as Manchester City were paired with Borussia Dortmund.
PSG – who again start among the favourites to win a trophy that has continued to escape them since the Qatari takeover of more than a decade ago – were paired against their former Argentinian ace Di Maria in Thursday's draw in Istanbul.
