David Warner will take centre stage when the three-match series against Pakistan begins on Thursday ahead of what is expected to be the Australian opener's farewell to Test cricket. The 37-year-old has indicated that he plans to quit the five-day game after the third Test at his home Sydney Cricket Ground early next year. Warner has been a mainstay of the Australian team for more than a decade but his Test form is under intense scrutiny, scoring just one century since early 2020.

Pakistan's tour of Australia will kick-start on December 14 in Perth. Both the teams will be squaring off against each in a three-match Test series with batter Shan Masood leading the visitors. In a conversation captured on the stump mic, the trio can be heard talking about the outing plan in the middle of the match which ends with Babar breaking down in laughter. “Hum time se ready ho jayenge gaye (We'll get ready on time)," Masood said. “Ap time peye aa jana, aap log 3 log log honge na (Please come on time, you'll be three guys, right?," Sarfaraz said. “Aa teeeja kera aa gaya (Where did the third one came from?)," Babar remarked leaving all of them in splits.
