David Warner has joined his team Delhi Capitals for the ongoing IPL 2022 season, the franchise confirmed on Sunday. Warner, who has arrived late for this IPL season due to the Australia's series in Pakistan, will finish his 3-day quarantine, before joining his team-mates and support staff. "Delhi Capitals' batter David Warner arrived at the team hotel in Mumbai on Saturday. Warner is currently undergoing a mandatory 3-day quarantine before stepping out of his room," the Delhi based franchise said in a statement.
Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting feels South African pacer Anrich Nortje is just a couple of spells away from being match ready and expressed optimism over his availability for their next IPL game against Lucknow Super Giants on April 7. Nortje has been out of competitive cricket since last November's T20 World Cup due to a back and hip injury.
