He is the fastest to achieve the feat in terms of all - innings, matches and time taken. Babar raced to the landmark during his 72-run knock in his team Peshawar Zalmi's seven-wicket defeat to Karachi Kings in Pakistan Super League. Ahead of the game in Lahore, Babar was only six short of the 10,000-run mark. Babar got there in 271 innings, 281 matches, and 11 years and 82 days.

Veteran opener David Warner will continue to play white-ball cricket for Australia but said he won't take up a central contract if Cricket Australia offers one next year. Warner has already announced that he will end his Test career in January next year after the home series against Pakistan. The 37-year-old, who will play in his third World Cup semifinal on Thursday against South Africa, however, reiterated he is open to playing white-ball cricket for Australia until the ICC T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies next year, and possibly till the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
KOLKATA : Opener David Warner has not ruled out playing on for Australia in white-ball cricket even until the next World Cup in 2027 despite having announced that he would be bringing an end to his test career in January.
