Carlos Alcaraz ready to win a Grand Slam 'this year' in warning to Nadal and Djokovic
Carlos Alcaraz is setting his sights high after making history as the youngest man ever to win the Miami Open. The 18-year-old now believes he has the ability to win his first Grand Slam title as early as this year, threatening Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal's attempts to continue their race for the most Major titles with Djokovic on 20 and Nadal on 21.

One of the most exciting prospects in world tennis currently, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz along with the talented Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas mesmerised the crowd through some exceptional display of tennis skills in their Round of 16 match at the Miami Open recently. Although, Alcaraz won the match in straight sets 7-5, 6-3, there was nothing to separate the two players as far as their baseline play and first service game was concerned. Some hard-hitting strokes and clever use of drop shots did give rise to epic rallies that was enjoyed and appreciated by the crowd as they mostly remained in awe of young Alcaraz throughout.

The Miami Open came to an end on Sunday with 18-year-old Carlos Alcaraz crowned the champion as the youngest man ever to do so. It came one day after Iga Swiatek picked up the title making her the youngest woman ever to complete the 'Sunshine Double', having also won Indian Wells just two weeks prior.
