Later, SRH fell short by 14 runs after Piyush Chawla, Jason Behrendorff, and Riley Meredith took two wickets each. With this win, MI rose to the sixth spot while SRH remained at the ninth spot. Rajasthan Royals continued to lead the points table.

His father and cricket great Sachin Tendulkar was present in the MI dressing room when Arjun scalped the wicket of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the last over of SRH's 193-run chase against MI. Arjun was given the last over with SRH needing 20. Ultimately, MI won the match by 14 runs. After taking his first wicket, Arjun talked about Sachin's inputs on his game.

Green (64 not out off 40) and Tilak Varma (37 off 17) fired Mumbai Indians to a challenging 192 for five after being put in to bat. With the odd ball not coming on to the bat, it was tough to get the boundaries from the get go but Sunrisers recovered from an ordinary powerplay to take the game deep with the help of opener Mayank Agarwal (48 off 41) and Heinrich Klaasen (36 off 16).
Arjun Tendulkar's IPL debut was widely followed as he played his first match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians against Kolkata Knight Riders. While Arjun, son of Sachin Tendulkar, could not scalp any wicket in his first match, the wait ended in his second match, that too in a tense last over against SunRisers Hyderabad. With SRH needing 20 runs in the last over, Arjun scalped his maiden wicket on the fifth ball as he dismissed Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was caught by Rohit Sharma at covers. Before that, Arjun looked like following a plan and delivered a couple of good yorkers to keep the SRH batters at bay.

It will be interesting to see whether Archer will make his way back into Playing XI or not.
Venkatesh Iyer became the first Kolkata Knight Riders batsman since Brendon McCullum way back in 2008 to score a century in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The left-hander achieved the massive feat during the IPL 2023 match against Mumbai Indians on Sunday and his celebration has already gone viral on social media. The batter scored an impressive 51-ball-104 and after reaching the milestone, he folded his hands and bowed towards the dressing room as part of the celebration. The crowd erupted at that moment and Suhana Khan – daughter of KKR owner Shahrukh Khan – was caught on camera cheering the batsman along with her friends at the Wankhede Stadium.
