During the T20I Round 1 match between Sri Lanka and UAE at Geelong on Tuesday, spinner Karthik Meiyappan made history by claiming a hat-trick. Meiyappan picked up three wickets on the 4th, 5th and 6th delivery of the 15th over to pull his side UAE back in the game while also registering his name in the history books.

Karthik Meiyappan of the United Arab Emirates took the first hat-trick of the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia on Tuesday and only the fifth ever in the history of the tournament.

Former Australia pacer Brett Lee has now released a video, talking about how to avoid injuries as a bowler, and he also talked about how there is no scientific proof that ice-baths work. He termed ice-baths as "over-rated".

Mohammad Kaif stunned the fans by showcasing glimpses of his old self, attacking the opposition bowling attack in style. During the match between Manipal Tigers and India Capitals, Kaif walked down the pitch to hammer the bowlers. This quickly reminded fans of his batting during India's tour of Pakistan in 2004 when kaif irked Shoaib Akhter with a similar batting approach. Kaif was brilliant in that ODI series which India won by 3-2. His series-levelling unbeaten knock of 71 in the fourth match is still fresh in fans' hearts. Kaif also revisited the memories when he later took to Twitter and posted a video of both the events. "Walking is good for health!! #never stop walking. Allahabad wale cricket aise hi khelte hain. #chora ganga kinare wala @llct20 ," he wrote in the caption.

Brett Lee is happy that he will have Chris Gayle and Harbhajan Singh for company in the ongoing Legends League Cricket (LLC). Lee, who will represent Manipal Tigers, had also played the inaugural edition in Oman's capital city of Muscat.

India Legends on Thursday reached the final of the Road Safety World Series after beating Australia Legends, courtesy of a special knock from all-rounder Irfan Pathan. With India Legends in trouble, Pathan played the finisher's role and smashed an unbeaten 39-run knock, smashing four sixes and two boundaries. Notably, he struck all sixes off Australia legend Dirk Nannes, one in the 17th over, followed by three more in the penultimate over of the match. With just one run needed off five deliveries, Pathan hit legendary Australia pacer Brett Lee for a four over midwicket to finish things off.
