The new selection committee, comprising Aqib Javed, Azhar Ali, Aleem Dar, Hasan Cheema, and advisor Bilal Afzal, took the call to drop Babar, Shaheen, and Naseem. However, former pacer Javed insisted that the players have been rested, instead of them being dropped.
