India vs Sri Lanka, Asia Cup 2022: When And Where To Watch Live Telecast, Live Streaming

After facing a defeat against Pakistan in their opening game of the Super 4s stage at the ongoing Asia Cup, Rohit Sharma-led Team India will look to change their fortunes around when they square off against Sri Lanka at the Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday. India had suffered a five-wicket defeat at the hands of Pakistan and they need to win against Sri Lanka in order to keep their hopes alive of making it to the final. It would be interesting to see what combination Team India goes in with and whether the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal and Rishabh Pant retain their place in the playing XI.

Cricket fans got to witness another nail-biting encounter between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup, Super 4 match on Sunday. The match turned out to be a forgetful one for the Indian side, as they faced a five-wicket defeat against their arch-rivals. Virat Kohli should name player and share what message he was expecting after quitting captaincy: Sunil Gavaskar

Virat Kohli should name the player he was expecting a call from after quitting Test captaincy and also specify the kind of message he was waiting for, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said on Monday. Kohli, who top scored with 60 in India's five-wicket defeat at the hands of Pakistan in an Asia Cup match on Sunday, said that barring former skipper MS Dhoni, none of the former players called him. "One thing I can tell you is when I gave up Test captaincy, I got a message from only one person who I've played with before -- MS Dhoni," Kohli said after the match. "A lot of people have my number and a lot of people give suggestions on TV, but among people who have my number, I didn't get a message from anyone else," he had said. When Gavaskar was asked about Virat's grievance, he was very categorical. "It's very difficult to say as to whom Virat is referring to? If he would have taken any names, you can then go and ask that person, if you have contacted him or not. What I have heard is that he is talking about only MSD having called him after leaving Test captaincy," Gavaskar told "Sports Tak". "If he is talking about former players, who have played with him, we know who all from that lot come on TV. He should name the player he is referring to. Ask them Kya Bhai aapne koi Message nahi kiya (Bro, you didn't message me?)".

Asia Cup: Akram, Shastri, Gambhir question Pant's shot selection against Pakistan

Ravi Shastri, Wasim Akram and Gautam Gambhir have criticised Rishabh Pant for his poor shot selection during India's five-wicket loss to Pakistan in the Asia Cup. Pant was dismissed off a googly by Shadab Khan, as he tried a reverse sweep, an attempt that experts found to be trifle indiscreet. The wicketkeeper-batter was premeditated and the execution was poor as the ball went straight into the hands of Asif Ali at backward point, resulting in his dismissal at a crucial juncture.

Should India Look At Options Beyond Rishabh Pant In T20Is? Here's What Numbers Suggest

The T20 format in cricket is a ruthless one. It is a format which tests a player's consistency like no other because the time to adjust and deliver is so less. The clock is always ticking for batters and it ticks faster for those who bat in the middle order. These batters often find themselves in situations where they have to make a quick decision about when to drop anchor and when to go on an all out attack. Those who are able to time this well, turn out to be match winners for their respective teams, and those who can't often leave a lot to be desired.

Asia Cup 2022: Mohammad Nawaz - The man who turned the Super 4 match vs India on its head

Nawaz was sent out to bat at number 8 in the league stage match vs India in the ongoing Asia Cup, which India won. On that occasion he managed to score just 1 off 3 balls. On Sunday though, after Pakistan lost two if their best batters in captain Babar Azam (14) and Fakhar Zaman (15) and with the scoreboard reading 63 for 2 in 8.4 overs, Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq and skipper Babar decided to promote the hard-hitting Nawaz up the order. It was a gamble. And it paid off handsomely for Pakistan. The reasoning behind this was to counter the two Indian leggies and Nawaz, who before this match had scored a total of 124 runs in 14 innings, played a knock that turned the match on its head, completely swinging the momentum Pakistan's way. When Nawaz walked out to bat the equation for Pakistan read - 119 needed in 68 deliveries. This was the stage where Rohit Sharma would have liked to really apply the brakes on Pakistan to make sure that the required run rate inched into the realm of the almost impossible. But that's exactly what Nawaz didn't allow the Indian bowlers to do.
