Uncapped Mark Steketee replaces injured Michael Neser for Australia's tour of Pakistan

Michael Neser is set to miss the upcoming tour of Pakistan next month after suffering a side strain and will be replaced by uncapped pacer Mark Steketee, Cricket Australia said on Wednesday. Australia is set to tour Pakistan for the first time since 1998 for three Test matches, starting in Rawalpindi on March 4, followed by three ODIs and one-off T20I. "Steketee replaces Michael Neser who was today ruled out with a side strain. He'll play this week's #SheffieldShield game against Victoria before joining the Australian squad. Pakistan Tour "Opportunity" For Australia To Make Name For Themselves: Allan Border

Former Australia skipper Allan Border feels the Pakistan series is the opportunity for the visiting side to "make a name" for themselves. Australia will tour Pakistan for three Tests, three ODIs and one T20I. The first Test will be played in Rawalpindi from March 4. Border said the series is a good opportunity to beat Pakistan in Pakistan and come out with flying colours. "This is the opportunity for the boys to really make a name for themselves. From Australia's point of view, they have not had a lot of success in the subcontinent," Border said on PCB Podcast.

PAK vs AUS: Australia Name Full-Strength Squad For Pakistan Tour

Australia named a full-strength squad on Tuesday for its first Pakistan tour in 24 years, with spinners Mitchell Swepson and Ashton Agar drafted to back up their formidable pace attack. Pat Cummins' side -- which recently lost coach Justin Langer in acrimonious circumstances -- are slated to play a three-Test series in Rawalpindi, Karachi and Lahore from March 4.
