Alyssa Healy is keen to take over from Meg Lanning as Australian cricket captain, with the star wicketkeeper-batter saying she would "100 percent" put her hand up for the job. Lanning retired from the international game last week after almost a decade in charge, leading Australia to four Twenty20 World Cup titles, one 50-over World Cup triumph and a Commonwealth Games gold. Healy, 33, is considered the frontrunner to take the reins, having filled in over the past 12 months while Lanning took time away from the game.

India batter Jemimah Rodrigues has signed a last-minute deal to play for Northern Superchargers in the upcoming Hundred tournament in England, replacing Australia's Heather Graham. Cricket Australia (CA) on Friday pulled out Alyssa Healy and Ellyse Perry from the Women's Hundred at short notice after both players got injured during Tuesday's second ODI against Ireland. Healy suffered a fracture to her left index finger during the second ODI according to a release from CA. She had been playing for Australia in their overseas tour of England and Ireland in spite of suffering from multiple injuries.
