England defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets in the sixth T20I on Friday to level the 7-match series 3-3. The Mooen Ali-led side made a mockery of the 170-run target set by Pakistan at the Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore as they reached home in only 14.3 overs. Philip Salt was the wrecker-in-chief with his unbeaten 88 off 41 balls, an innings that was studded with 13 fours and 3 sixes. He along with fellow opener Alex Hales added 55 runs in only 3.4 overs before the latter fell on his individual score of 27 off 12 balls.
Umpire Aleem Dar suffered an unfortunate injury during the sixth T20I between Pakistan and England in Lahore on Friday as Haider Ali rammed a pull shot straight into him. Dar was the leg umpire in the sixth over of the match. Richard Gleeson bowled a short one and young Pakistan batter Haider Ali smacked a pull shot. Dar tried desperately to get out of the way of the shot but failed and the ball struck him on his thigh, sending him limping.
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam may have had a poor Asia Cup, but he has found his mojo again in the seven-match T20I series against England. On Friday, the 27-year-old became the joint-fastest player to reach 3000 runs in T20Is, drawing level with Indian batting icon Virat Kohli. Both players reached the milestone in 81 innings. In the process, he also overtook Ireland's Paul Stirling to become the fourth-highest run-scorer in the format. He is only behind Rohit Sharma, Kohli and New Zealand's Martin Guptill.
The England opener clobbered three sixes and 13 fours in the third fastest half century by an England batter in the shorter format to help his team chase down a target of 170 in just 14.3 overs. Salt's fiery knock overshadowed Babar Azam's 59-ball 87 not out that lifted the home team to 169-6 and saw Pakistan skipper equalling India star Virat Kohli's record of the fastest man to 3,000 runs in cricket's shortest format. England's victory tied the seven-match series 3-3 with an intriguing final match in Lahore on Sunday.
Phil Salt smashed a robust career-best 41-ball 88 not out to help England thrash Pakistan by eight wickets in the sixth Twenty20 international in Lahore on Friday.

So this see-saw T20 series, the longest ever played between two international teams, has tipped again. England won the sixth match by eight wickets with 33 balls to spare. Which means everything is level at three-matches each. Sunday’s game will be decisive.
