Andy Murray claimed a second title in two weeks at the Nottingham Open on Sunday to continue his fine preparation for Wimbledon. The three-time Grand Slam champion followed up his win at Surbiton last week with a flawless display to beat Frenchman Arthur Cazaux 6-4, 6-4 to claim the tournament without dropping a set. Murray's 10-match winning streak is now his best since he topped the world rankings in 2017 and before he required career-threatening hip surgery.
Andy Murray will face Australia’s world No. 18 and seventh seed Alex de Minaur in the first round of the Queen's Club Championships. The Brit has lost all three of his matches against De Minaur – the last of which was a 6-1 6-3 humbling at the Monte Carlo Masters earlier this year — but should the Brit prevail, he could face Diego Schwartzman in round two and Taylor Fritz at the quarter-final stage.
World No. 3 Daniil Medvedev was beaten by Adrian Mannarino in his first grass match of the season at the Libema Open. Medvedev beat Mannarino on his way to the final of the event in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands last season, but this time the Frenchman won 4-6 6-4 6-2.
Novak Djokovic, fresh from notching up a record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title, moved back to the top of the ATP rankings released on Monday, while Rafael Nadal dropped out of the top 100.
Alexander Zverev edged a tight battle with Argentina's Tomas Etcheverry 6-4 3-6 6-3 6-4 to make the semi-finals of the French Open. It represents full circle for the German after he retired from the last four of Roland-Garros last year after sustaining a serious ankle injury while playing eventual winner Rafael Nadal. Ad Zverev had already spurned two break-point chances in the first set, before taking his third to lead Etcheverry 4-3.
Tomas Martin Etcheverry reached the quarter-finals at the French Open, becoming the last Argentine player in the tournament after countryman Francisco Cerundolo fell in an epic five-set battle against sixth seed Holger Rune.
Eighth seed Jannik Sinner was toppled by German Daniel Altmaier in a five-hour epic at the French Open.
