Markram tasted success with the SRH's sister franchise, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, leading them to the inaugural SA 20 title recently. Last season, Markram scored 381 runs in 14 matches for SRH at an average of 47.63. SRH will begin a new era in the IPL, having let go of stalwarts Kane Williamson and David Warner in the past couple of seasons.
