Sunrisers Eastern Cape won back-to-back SA20 titles after an empathic 89-run victory over Durban's Super Giants at Newlands in Cape Town. After topping the group stage, the Sunrisers delivered a clinical performance in the final on Saturday. Half-centuries from Tom Abell (55) and Tristan Stubbs (56 not out) along with contributions from Jordan Hermann and captain Aiden Markram, who both contributed 42, respectively, saw the Sunrisers post a formidable 204/3. The defending champions then bowled out the Super Giants for a paltry 115 in 17 overs.

Durban Super Giants registered a stunning 35-run victory over Sunrisers Eastern Cape in Match No 5 of the ongoing SA20 League on Saturday. Opting to bat first, the Super Giants posted a whopping total of 225/3 in 20 overs with JJ Smuts playing a magnificent knock of 75 off 38 balls. Later, the Sunrisers were restricted to 190/9, despite a 65-run knock from Tom Abell. However, this match grabbed a lot of attention after Tom Abell showed a terrific fielding effort to save six runs for his team.

The guests suffered an innings-and-32-run drubbing in the first Test match in Centurion and this was their only chance to make up for it with a series-levelling win. Team India came with added energy and went on to win the game by 7 wickets that too within two days. What the win meant for the side was clearly visible when India skipper Rohit Sharma vented out his frustration with an animated celebration after taking the catch of Aiden Markram. The wicket more or less made sure that India had to chase a paltry total.
