IPL 2025 Auction Day 2 LIVE: After record-breaking deals on Day 1 for Rishabh Pant (LSG), Shreyas Iyer (PBKS) and Venkatesh Iyer (KKR), Indian pacers stole the show on Day 2 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction. Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar racked in a handsome Rs 10.75 crore, heading to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), being the headline purchase of the day. SRH Full Squad, IPL 2025: SRH have one of the most balanced squads heading into Day 2 of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. However, SRH they only have a purse of Rs 5.15 crore to spent on the second day. On Day 1, SRH bought Mohammad Shami (Rs 10 crore), Harshal Patel (Rs 8 crore), Ishan Kishan (Rs 11.25 crore), Rahul Chahar (Rs 3.2 crore), Adam Zampa (Rs 2.4 crore), Atharva Taide (Rs 30 lakhs), Abhinav Manohar (Rs 3 crore) and Simarjeet Singh (Rs 1.5 crore). IPL 2025 Auction Day 2 LIVE: The IPL 2025 Auction Day 1 saw the ten franchises buy 72 cricketers with RIshabh Pant attracting a record-breaking bid of Rs 27 Crore from Lucknow Super Giants. There were no shortages of big money deals as Shreyas Iyer was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 Crore while Kolkata Knight Riders brought back Venkatesh Iyer for a staggering Rs 23.75 Crore. Day 2 will have more talents on offer with big names like Mayank Agarwal, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Phillips, Ajinkya Rahane, Prithvi Shaw in the fray. Some uncapped Indian talents are also expected to fetch surprising prices.
IPL 2025 Auction LIVE: Rishabh Pant made history on Day 1 of the IPL 2025 mega auction, fetching a mammoth price of Rs 27 crore, being sold to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), as Rs 467.95 cr were spent in total. Shreyas Iyer went to Punjab Kings (PBKS) for Rs 26.75 cr, while Venkatesh Iyer was re-bought by defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a whopping Rs 23.75 cr. Indian bowlers got a large amount of interest, with the likes of Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal both fetching Rs 18 cr each, going to PBKS. A total of 72 players were sold on Day 1, with 12 players going unsold.

Ahead of the IPL 2025 auction, they paid a mammoth sum of Rs 24 Crore for South Africa star Heinrich Klaasen. Apart from Klaasen, the 2016 champions also paid huge money to retain the Australian duo of Travis Head and Pat Cummins. When it comes to the Indian players, they went for youth as both Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Reddy found a spot in the retention list.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction is just around the corner with a total of 574 players set to go under the hammer. The IPL 2025 mega auction will be held on November 24 and 25 in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah. India all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin will be one of the players to watch out for in the mega-auction, after the veteran was not retained by the Rajasthan Royals (RR). Ashwin is currently in Perth, Australia for a five-match Test series, starting Friday.
Proteas captain Temba Bavuma has been cleared for selection and will return to lead South Africa in their home Test series against Sri Lanka.
