Following a disappointing loss against India in the fourth T20I match of the series, South Africa skipper Aiden Markram admitted the Men in Blue "completely outplayed" the hosts in Johannesburg. India clinched a massive 135-run victory over South Africa in the fourth T20I match of the series, sealing a 3-1 series win. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary, Jay Shah, is waiting for the young India team to display its force in the upcoming series after pulling off record-breaking performances against South Africa. The fourth T20I in Johannesburg summed up India's immense potential, especially in the T20I format, with a record-tumbling performance. South Africa captain Aiden Markram heaped praise on his team and backed them despite the loss against India in the third T20I of the four-match series at the SuperSport Park on Wednesday. Arshdeep Singh's three-wicket haul and Tilak Varma's unbeaten century helped India clinch an 11-run victory over South Africa. The right-hand batter said that the team will "see areas to improve" for the fourth and final encounter of the series which will be played at Johannesburg on Friday.
It looks like Sanju Samson is flattering to deceive once again. After two back-to-back centuries in two straight T20Is, the wicketkeeper-batter has now scored two back-to-back ducks. Sanju Samson has often not received a consistent run in the national team, but when he scored those tons against Bangladesh and then against South Africa (in the 1st T20I), everyone thought that Samson was finally doing justice to his immense talent. But now, Samson has scored back-to-back ducks.
Tilak Varma's spectacular maiden century stayed above Marco Jansen's stunning late assault as India notched a thrilling 11-run win over South Africa in the third T20I against on Wednesday. India now lead the four-match series 2-1. Tilak's brilliant effort (107, 56b, 8x4, 7x6) carried India to 219 for six but Jansen (54, 17b, 4x4, 5x6) made runs at a strike-rate of 317 to nearly trump the Indian batter's knock. South Africa ended up at 208 for seven. But the contest looked set for a lop-sided finish once the dangerous Heinrich Klaasen (41) fell with 53 runs needed off the last 14 balls in the chase of 220.
