A source said on Thursday that PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi was not happy with the way matters related to the team had been handled so far by all the stakeholders. "There has been a lack of proper communication between the team captains, coaches and selectors in recent months and this has led to senior players including ODI and Test captains, Mohammad Rizwan, Shan Masood not being happy at decisions being taken by over-riding their views in selection and other team matters," the source said.

Pakistan Test vice-captain Saud Shakeel seemingly took a swipe at Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi, during his appearance on a talk show. During his appearance on Geo News, Shakeel was asked to reveal two changes he would make if he were made the chairman of the PCB. Replying to the query, Shakeel said he would appoint a permanent head coach for the next three years, adding that nobody would be able to remove him, even when he is no longer the president.
