The total proved to be enough as the West Indies packed off Zimbabwe for 122 in 18.2 overs, with pacer Alzarri Joseph picking for four wickets for 16 runs in his full quota of four overs.
Joseph bowled with pace and precision to cause damage to Zimbabwe at the start and then returned in his second spell to snuff out the remaining fight from the African side to register career-best figures of 4-16 in T20 Internationals. All-rounder Jason Holder provided able support by picking up 3-12 as West Indies bundled out Zimbabwe for 122 after winning the toss and batting first to post 153-7.

West Indies are taking on Zimbabwe in a crucial Group B match of the first round of the ICC T20 World Cup at Hobart. The Caribbean side, who lost their opening match to Scotland, managed to post a fighting total of 153/7 on the board. While it was opener Johnson Chares, who top-scored with a knock of 45, but the real fillip came from the willows of Rovman Powell (28) and Akeal Hosein (23*), who helped the team get past the 150-run mark.
