Rahim's hundred came at No.6 after he walked into bat in the 34th over of the innings. The wicketkeeper-batter remained unbeaten on 100* as Bangladesh made their highest total in ODIs, bettering the 338 they had made in the previous match of the series. Rahim reached 7000 ODI runs, becoming the third Bangladeshi player after Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan, as Sylhet witnessed another big score.

The second one-day international between Bangladesh and Ireland was called off due to rain in Sylhet on Monday after the home side posted their highest-ever ODI total. The rain prevented Ireland from starting their innings after the hosts reached 349-6 thanks to Mushfiqur Rahim's century, the fastest ODI ton by a Bangladeshi batsman. Match officials called the game off shortly after 8:30 pm (2030 GMT) with no prospect of the weather improving at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Bangladesh, fresh from beating England 3-0 in T20s, are 1-0 up in the series with one match remaining on Thursday.

Ireland to host Team India for a three-match T20I series set to be played in Malahide between August 18-23, before visiting England for a three-match ODI tour from September 20 to 26. Cricket Ireland on Friday announced a bumper international schedule for 2023, with the home white-ball series against Bangladesh and India lined up. Ireland begin their busy schedule with a multi-format tour of Bangladesh between March 18 to April 8, consisting of three ODIs, three T20Is and a one-off Test match. They'll then tour the sub-continent, with two-Test series against Sri Lanka slotted between April 16 and 28.
