Shreyas Iyer Ruled Out Of ODI Series Against New Zealand, Rajat Patidar Named Replacement

Shreyas Iyer was ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand due to a back injury, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said on Tuesday. Iyer, who enjoyed a fine run of form in the recent past, will head to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) where he will undergo further assessment. The extent of the injury was not revealed by the BCCI and tests conducted by the NCA will reveal how long he will be out of action. Rajat Patidar was named his replacement for the series.

Hardik Pandya To Lead In NZ T20Is; Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan Get Maiden Test Call Ups

The BCCI on Friday announced Team India's squads for the upcoming white-ball series against New Zealand, as well as the first Two Tests against Australia. Hardik Pandya will lead the team in the T20I series against New Zealand, while Rohit Sharma will take charge of the team for the ODIs against the Blackcaps, as well as the four-match Test sereies against Australia.
