AL RAYYAN, Qatar : South Korea assistant coach Sergio Costa said Monday's 3-2 defeat by Ghana was an unfair result for the Asian side, whose World Cup campaign is stalling with the team rooted to the bottom of Group H.

Mohammed Kudus scored twice as Ghana beat South Korea 3-2 in a pulsating World Cup encounter on Monday to keep their World Cup hopes alive and leave Paulo Bento's side facing an early exit. Mohammed Salisu opened the scoring against the run of play midway through the first half at Education City Stadium and Ajax midfielder Kudus doubled the Black Stars' lead. But the Asian side, who looked toothless in the first half, roared back after the break, pulling level through a quickfire double from forward Cho Gue-sung either side of the hour mark.
Korea scored twice in three minutes to level the score 2-2 in the second half after trailing by two goals at the halftime break. But a second goal from Mohammed Kudus seven minutes later turned out to be a winner for the African side. With the win, Ghana jumped to second in the group standings with three points behind Portugal, who face Uruguay later in the day, on goal difference, while Korea dropped down to bottom with one point, but are still in contention for the knockout stage.
